This entry on the Broderbund CD refers to the immigation record of Johannes LIGHT (actually, German LICHT), age 56, who arrived in Philadelphia on 5 Sep 1838 on the ship "Winter Galley" out of Rotterdam. It's unlikely he is connected to a New York LIGHT.

Do you know if your Westchester LIGHTs are English or German? What is the date of earliest occurence of your LIGHT family in the county?
