HELLO; IM LOOKING FOR FAMILY MEMBERS OF GEORGE JASPER LIGHT OF DANVILLE OR MAYSVILLE,ALABAMA WAS BORN SEPT.14-1834;DIED 4-14-1910.HE FIRST MARRIED EDA ADALINE LEMLEY,DAUGHTER OF EDWIN LEMLEY, OF ALABAMA WERE MARRIED ON SUNDAY,5-16-1858,AT HER MOTHER'S HOME BY REV. WILLIAM GREEN,WITNESSED BY JAMES H. RICE & JOHN S. MCKENNY.GEORGE WAS THE SON OF BOB LIGHT,HAD 3 SISTERS--EVERGREEN,LENA,& KATE (KITTY).HE WAS A SCHOOL TEACHER & DONATED THE GROUND TO BUILD A CHURCH & A SCHOOLHOUSE,LIGHT'S CHAPEL METHODIST CHURCH & LIGHT'S CHAPEL SCHOOL.HE FURNISHED THE LUMBER FOR BOTH & HELPED ERECT THEM ABOUT THE YEAR 1878.THEY WERE LOCATED ABOUT 1 1/2 MILES NORTH-WEST OF GREENBIER,TENNESSEE.THE CHURCH LATER BECOME LIGHT'S CHAPEL BAPTIST MISSION.THEY HAD 8 CHILDREN.EDA ADALINE WAS BORN 2-23-1832;DIED 5-16-1901.BOTH R BURIED AT LIGHT'S CHAPEL CEMETARY.SECOND GEORGE MARRIED TO MARY ELIZA RICE STOKES MORRISOF NEW HOPE,ALABAMA WERE MARRIED IN ALABAMA,11-23-1902 & CAME TO TENNESSEE ABOUT 12-13-1902.HAD 1 CHILD NAMED GEORGE JASPER LIGHT JR.BORN 5-20-1905.WE HAVE MORE INFORMATION FROM THERE BUT TRYING TO FIND OUT WHO HIS MOTHER WAS & ANYTHING BEFORE THIS.TY VERY MUCH ANY INFOR WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
