A few months ago, I knew very little about my grandfather, Eugene Light's, ancestry. I had a genealogist in Maine do some research for me and then got in touch with a genealogy group that has given me all kinds of research.

I have just learned that my g-g-g grandfather was George Light. He was born March 4, 1770 in Waldoboro, Lincoln County, ME and died December 28, 1851 in Washington, Knox County, ME. He married Hannah Meservey on August 19, 1794 in Waldoboro, Lincoln County, ME.

He was a Veteran of the War of 1812. Could this be your ancestor?
