I am fairly new to geneology, and in searching for Light's in Yorkshire, came across this "discussion".
My family have been based in Yorkshire for some time, though my research goes back no further than grandparents.
My Grandfather Jack was born in Todmordon around the turn of the century. His father was a police man, who I know was later located at Pateley Bridge in Yorkshire, where I know there are still family connections. He had five siblings, Stanley, Richard, Roland, Alice and Mary.
Good luck in your research.
