Alexander Bazzarea married Jane Frances Liggon on Aug. 18, 1851, Henrico Co., Va. She died June 10, 1896, Low Moor, Alleghany Co., Va.

Alexander is listed as a private in the 24th Virginia Cavalry, enlisting in Richmond, Va. on 21 Mar 62.

Page 158 of the book, "24th Virginia Cavalry," by Darryl Holland, includes that Pvt. Alexander Bazzarea was detailed as a wagon driver, responsible for arresting deserters from the Confederate Army, to be paid a fee for each soldier successfully delivered.
