I am a ggg-grandaughter of Elizabeth Liggon, who married John Harlan on Jan 22, 1801, in the home of her parents John and Ruth Liggon on Church Hill in Richmond. I posted the few notes that I have about this family at the Harlan Genforum page in 2001, message #699. When Elizabeth and John Harlan died in 1823, my gg-grandfather BFW Harlan was raised by Willis Liggon, Elizabeth's brother. I am looking for information to establish their lineage. It has been suggested that her father John Liggon's parents might be Samuel and Agnes, but no real proof so far.
