Will of Peter Flesher (1721-1801)

In the name of God Amen I Peter Fleishear of the County of Pendleton & State of Virginia beingsick & weak in body but of sound mind & disposinge Memory for which I thanck god, & Calling to minde uncirtintey of humen Life & being disserous to dispouse of all such Worldly estate as it hath pleased god to blefs me withe - I give and bequithe the same in Manner folloing that is to saye I give I do will & bequithe my son Henry thea Plantatione that I now live one to him his heris, Executors, Administrators & Afsigns forevir with paying his Brother John deceased his Children that is to saye Henry & Elizabeth the sum of twenty five Poundes each current Money of Virginia to be paid afsoon aas he Obtains a right for the above mentioned place, also to pay my Son Peter fifty Pounds licke money, I will & bequith unto my Son Contrad the Planteation lying and Living the Cunningham Plaise in Crabbottom to him & his heires forevir. also to my son Polser fifty Pounds whitch hae has already received being his part in full Out of my Estate. my eldest darter Elizabeth has received her part out of my Estate. I will & bequith unto my dauter Barberry eighty Pounds wich shea has already recerived whitch being her part of my Estate in full it is my Will & dissire that my bed shall fall into thea hands of my son Petear. I do hereby empower my Son Henry Fleishear my Executor of this my last will & Testament heareby revoking all other & former Wills & Testaments by me hearetofore made. in witnefs wheareof I havehereunto set my hand & affixed my sale this ninth deay of April in thea Year 1801.

At a Court held for Pendleton County on Tuesday the 2nd day of February 1802 This last Will & Testament of Peter Flisher Sr deceased was produced in Court by the Executor therein named * was proven by the Oaths of Henry Flishear Junr. & Conrad Flishear two of the Witnesfses thereto & ordered to be recorded.
