Hi Kate
My James Liddy came from around Dromoland/ Newmarket on Fergus. He married Margaret Clancy in 1861 and they both give their residences as Ardsollis ( also spelt as Ardsollas)
James and Margaret had 2 children Margaret c1862 and James Kenneth c1864 in Co. Clare and then they emigrated to Australia sometime before November 1867 when their next child was born here in Australia. Their 5th child Josephine Annie Liddy was my grandmother.
I have not been able to find how they arrived here.

Regards
Ernene
