Hello Michelle,
I have just found out that my GGGGrandmother was called Ann Liddle and she was born around 1807 in the Washington area.
She married a man called Robert Straughan around 1826 He came from Northumberland originally. He was a farmer and innkeeper.
They had the following children.
George born 1832 Heworth
John born 1827 Washington
Elizabeth born 1829 Washington
Mary born 1836 Washington
Robert born1839 Usworth
Thomas born 1844 Washington
Jane born 1846 Usworth
Isabella born 1849 Washington.
I have just found out about Ann's surname so I dont have any other info on her apart from the census' reveal she died between 1849 and 1851.
Do any of these names ring bells? Are they the same naming pattern?
Lesley
