In case it is of interest to anyone, there is a portrait of Mr. Elmer Lick posted on deadfred.com:

This picture of Mr. Elmer Lick appears on page 75 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XXVII, no.2, February 1904. Please see that reference for more details. Mr. Lick of Oshawa in Canada was involved in fruit culture and horticulture. That is all the information I have on this picture. I am not researching this line, just saw the photo and thought I'd post it.
