I am a descendant of Jonathan D. Lichty. Here is some info I have on his parentage:
George David "David" Lichdi/Lichty

m. Katherine "Katie" Bittner d/o George Bittner (1771-1843) and Elizabeth Walker Bittner (1775-1847)
b. 01 or 06-26-1796 Brothersvalley Twp., Somerset Co., PA
bapt. 04-15-1796? Pine Hill Lutheran Church, Brothersvalley Twp, Smst. Co. PA
d. unknown
Children:
1. Joseph b. 08-01-1820
2. Jonathan D. b. 09-07-1822 d. 07-25-1904 1m. Mary Reese (d. 12-18-1853) d/o George Reese and Betsy Weaver; 2m. Harriet Smith d/o Simon Smith and Catherine Bittner (yes, Jonathan and Harriet were cousins, I have more info on this...)
3. Daniel b. 02-06-1825
4. Harriett b. 05-16-1827
Somewhere, I have George "David" Lichty's parentage which includes a Christian Lichdi, I will have to search for that info.
I have a cousin who found that when Katherine died, George "David" left his children here in Somerset County and he went somewhere else. He remarried, had more children and never returned to PA.
