Gordon,
I descend from Johannes Lephart, son of the immigrant Adam Liebhard (1691-1767). Although my family continued to be recorded as Liphart, Lephart, and even Liebhard on a few occaisions for the next two generations, they predominently adopted the surnames Lippert, Leopard, Lepperd and Leppard. I would say that you descend from Adam's son Heindrick Liebhard (c1718-1773) who settled in York County. As I recall, Heindrick's son Heinrich II (1743-1796...dates from memory) had two sons that moved back to Lancaster County and used the spelling LIBHART. Were I to "guess", I'd say that you should start there. Your High P. Libhart was likely a grandson of one of those brothers. The name does not ring a bell. Since I have concentrated on the descendents of Johannes (my ancestor), I do not have as complete of a record for the descendents of the other brothers; Heindrick and Augustus. Augustus and his descendents were most often known as Lephart and Leephart. Heindrick's descendents were most often known as Leiphart, Liephart, and Libhart (although they also appear as Lippert, etc., on occaision). If you still have problems finding your line, call me at home some evening and I'll go through my notebook while I talk to you (717)691-6677. Best of luck. Dale
