with regards to family generation poems, in the dyanstic times, with over 90 % being peasants and farmers and the remainder being merchants and artisans with a pittance 2-3 % of the population being the hsi (scholars officials) how accurate is the statement that fmaily generation poems pedigrees and genealogical records were adopted by the upper class, as for peasats and farmers, due to lacjk of eductaio and fiancial expanses,they had no artisitc poetuic poems to make use of as they could nto write, how accurate is it that families have to have officals in the government who can then compsoed a poem, i udnerstand for the whole clan to follow the familiy generation charcater system, the person who had composed it -the ancestor, would have to be a respected scholar or official, only then with that standing cna the hwole clan at that time follow the naming system.Comments?
