My great grandfather was Thomas Liddane from Tullig, County Clare. Tullig is located between Kilkee & Loop Head. His youngest son, Denis, ( my great uncle ) was killed in France fighting for the U.S.Army about one month before the armistice in 1917. Go to www.clarelibrary.ie geanology section. There are lots of Liddanes in the Kilrush Union of the 1901 Census. Also you will see Liddane's in the 1855 Griffiths Valuations section. Sometimes they drop the second d in Liddane in these documents. You can reach me at mjhalpin@juno.com Marty Halpin
