Dear June
I had seen the reference to Bridget and Mary working in the poor house in Ennistymon
John born 1819 could have been their brother ,I found by accident his birth registered in a big old book
at the birth ,deaths and marriages in Dublin when we were there some years ago .

You may have to spend a little time looking through as I did. There were many more entries I could have checked.
To mention a few, a John Leyden aged 77( Ennis 4 153) died march 1884, John Leyden aged 24 (Boyle 4 46) ,
Honora Leyden 24 years (Killadysert 4 202). There was a number of Leydens mentioned but we were in a hurry.

I believe there are a number of Leydens and Guinnane or Ginnanes buried at Newmarket on the border of
Clare. Jack, grandson of John who lived on the farm at Drumquin suggested earlier family and siblings may
have been buried there . Its is difficult to follow through when so far away . What country are you from?.

Please let me know how you go with these ideas. Again our John was born 1819-1891 he died at home on the
farm at Drumquin Tiermaclaine . He and Bridget were married on 29th July 1855 ,in the Parish of Clondegad/Kilchreest today known as Lissycasey. Witnesses at the marriage were
James Leyden and Catherine Guinnane- presumably brother and sister of the bride and groom. Bridget
came from Coney Island in the Shannon Estuary. Sponsors at the baptism of their children included James &
Brid (sic) Leyden, Mary Leyden and Nora Leyden. Most of the foregoing was obtained from the Clare heritage centre Ref: 4710, dated 4 March 1988
best wishes
Margaret Leyden.
