Felix Ley died before May 27, 1777 when his Will was filed no. 1542, Bucks Co PA. He bequeathed 80 pounds to his step-son, Alexander Negley, in his will.
It was to be paid about May 27, 1781/82.
Felix was well thought of and several of the future Negley generations were named Felix in his honor.

Felix Ley was naturalized 1 April, 1764 at Rockhill, PA.

Elizabeth ___ [and her spouse, children and son in law,] born Frankfort-on-the -Main, Germany, came over on Ship "Thistle of Glasco", Colin Dunlop, Master, from Rotterdam, but last from Dover, p Clearance June 19, 1730. Qualifed August 29, 1730. See Pennsylvania German Pioneers, Volume 1, page 30.
Elizabeth's husband, Jacob "Negeli" called Negley in America, died at sea of illness. His wife and daughter were both left widows upon arrival.

In the rare books section at Carnegie Library, Pittsburgh, PA, there is a file about the Negley family.

Jacob and Elizabeth Negley had three children;
1. Elizabeth married Valentine Berkstresser abt 1739 Bucks Co PA
2. Casper was born at Berne, Switzerland. Probably all three children were born there?.
3. Alexander born 1734, died 1810 at Negleystown, Pitt Twp. Allegheny Co PA. Married 1762 Mary Ann Berkstresser at Bucks Co PA. There is a wonderful monument at Highland Park, near Carnegie Library, in Pittsburgh, PA for Mary Ann.
Jacob's two brothers were also with him on the voyage to PA in America.
The family settled The Tohickon Union Church.

The marriage of Elizabeth Negley and Felix Ley is well documented by the Will of Felix Ley, Buck Co PA.

Elizabeth [Negley] Ley died at Highland Park, Allegheny Co PA.
