Ack! I was so stuck on "Alexander" and believing your father, Charles, must be a grandson of the Alexander eulogized in the Manx Quarterly, issue number 14, that I was not considering any other possibilities. Now I think our common ancestry must be a generation further back, with Esther and John. There are no "Josephs" in our line, but Joseph may have been a brother to my ancestor.
