I want to add something about the Polly Bailey who married Andrew in 1837.I checked the wording on their license today and I noticed it did not specify Polly as a Mrs.Ifindeed she was the widow of Burton Bailey as I have suggested, she should have been registered as Mrs. Bailey.I noticed, however, that the Polly Luzader who married Samuel Prevo in 1847 is listed as Mrs. Polly Luzader.I am even more inclined to think that this Polly is the widow of Andrew, but I am less certain about her having also been the wife of Burton Bailey.
I was checking the federal censuses for Polly or Mary Luzader. In 1840 she is listed as head of the household with seven minor children, but the only hint to her age is the check in the column of female between 20 and 30.However, the Mary given as wife of Samuel Prevo is listed as 50yr old in the 1850 census.Of course, the census taker could easily have made a mistake on the 1840 as their ages were just marked in columns. The ages don't match, but I am still inclined to think that she is the widow of Andrew.
I also checked the fed census for John Lusader for1850,'60, and '70.John is in Fountain Co, Wabash Twp., in 1850 with his new wife Sarah A.He gives 30 as his age and Ohio as place of birth.Again in 1860 he gives Ohio as place of birth and now he is 40. He is no longer in Fountain Co., but has moved across the Wabash River to Vermillion Co.In 1870 he is still in Vermillion Co., Wabash Twp. at the age of 50.However, on this census his birthplace is given as Virginia. Maybe the Mary J. 31 yrs old gave the information and knowing the family originally came from Virginia said that to the census taker. I thinkOhio seems more likely correct.I checked what Isaac put down for birthplace. In both the 1850 and 1860 census he gives Ohio as his birthplace. He stayed on in Fountain Co.I don't have him for the 1870 census.
I have heard too that Andrew went to Indiana through Kentucky, but Ohio must have been part of their route.I haven't found anything yet to tie him to Kentucky. Enough for now.
