Hello Mary, and welcome to the forum. Your input is very interesting. Your theory about Polly Bailey, being the widow of Burton Bailey sounds very plausable. I didn't think of taking that angel when I had access to marriage records for Fountain County. I too have only found Thomas as a child of the second marriage. Records from the LDS web site, that were from another researcher, show that Rebecca LUZADER, that married James Stanton, was born in Marion County, Indiana in 1828. I havn't looked lnto that, and doubt there is any evidence other than family information, or maybe on a census record. But I think that can show part of the migration rout. A couple of Lewsader names from the Fountain County Death Record, that I havn't been able to place are. Sarah J. Lewsader 71 years of age, died May 24, 1913 in Covington. Mary J. LUSADER 77 years of age, died September 8, 1901 in Covington. I can only suspect Sarah J. was married to a Lewsader, and Mary J. just might have been a daughter of Andrew, and she never married. Right now I have no way of knowing who is who with the many birth, death and marriage records I have.
