Thank you. I have a copy of the 1870 KY Todd Co Census, but I am interested in your sources the final entry: The Military Roster for John B. Lewis. I don't think this fits with my 3rd GGrandfather...my family, especially the Lewis side, were fiercely Confederate. :-)

I have sort of "backed into" John B.'s parents (John's father was assumed to be Abraham Lewis (b.1785, d.1870); taken from handwritten document authored by Madeline Ellarson pre-1945 (original in the possession of June Cantlon Cobun, Jacksonville, NC)with Abraham and John in sequence on the same page. This was probably taken from the old family Bible that was lost in a flood.). I would like a better confirmation. I was hoping for a Humphries Co. TN clue.
