i was looking from great grandma la montagne and great grandpa gagnon on muy dads mothers side and was playing with all my name and came up to lewark and found your message. i have lots of lewark & luark also i have michael & patterson's journals that were started in 1846 ending when they died. jean bailey's son in law and daughter worked on a book emigrant trails it covers the time they left indiana & illinois for washington april 1853 to sept 1853 when they arrived in washington. well now how are you doing. i'am still out in the desert. p o bos 539, joshua tree ca 92252. i have a large file as you know on the lewark and i'm still trying to straighten out what don has made up but someday i will. i've taken the la montagne family all the way back to france and have my grandma besse gagnon la montagne back to a note in a book in canada that my 10th great grandfather was the first permanent settler in the new world in 1604 he also planted the first wheat in the new world. i my need so information from beaverville church & bourbonnais i'll let you know. bye marie
