Thomas Levens-Ireland, NY, IL & KS

I am seeking info on my gr gr grandfather, Thomas Levens and family. He was born in Ireland(unknown location), in approx 1830.
He came to the U.S. in 1850, we believe landing in New York. Sometime after that he married Jane Clark. Their first child, Thomas was born in New York, again unknown exactly where, November 10 1852. The rest of the children, Mary Elizabeth, b-1857, John, b-1858 and Peter Clark 1861,were all born in Lockport, Illinois.
Jane died in childbirth in 1863. At some point Thomas and family moved to Kansas where he died in 1906. At some point Thomas remarried a woman named Mary,b-1840, died 1899 in KS. No other info on her.
Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.
