I am also seeking info on our common ancestor, Mary Frances Letts, 1848-1886 (as per her grave stone in Old Calvary Cemetery in Sayreville, NJ). Her husband was Cornelius Chevalier, 1849-1929 (although his actual first name may have been Amiel). My sense is that she was from the Sayreville/South Amboy area as there are several Letts families living proximate to the Chevaliers in Sayreville area maps of the 1870s. The Letts are an old New Jersey family based in the Sayreville/South Amboy area since about 1700. A substantial genealogy of them may be found on RootsWeb, but I have not found Mary Frances' name in it--not surprising, as census records are sadly often neglectful of daughters. I am a great grandson of Agnes' older brother Harvey (1872-1923).
