"At the Headwaters of Cheesequake Creek" states that Elijah and Elisha Letts fought in the Revolution. They were the sons of Peter Letts who was the son of Francis Letts. They were living in the area that is currently South Amboy and Sayreville, Middlesex County, NJ. Also, another Francis Letts (1758-1846).
The book contains this Francis Letts's application for a Revolutionary War pension. (August 27, 1833) I descend from this particular Franics Letts and his spouse Mary Ann Vandeventer.
According to "The Letts Line" Elisha Letts served as a private in Captain Morgan's 2nd Middlesex County Regiment. Nothing further on Elijah.
Want copies of anything please advise.
