I am also a descendent of Thomas Letson who immigrated to New Jersey in 1730 . My mother gave me the extensive geneology of the Letson family which she got from my grandmother. My grandfather was Thomas Herbert Letson who was born , raised and married in New Brunswick New Jersey(born in 1875 and died in 1962) He moved to Portland Maine in the 1930's. Thomas Letson's son William Warren Letson was the propietor of the Rising Sun Tavern in Raritan Landing which is where they are doing an archeological dig right now....as i type..they have a great site..www.raritanlanding.com. I was wondering if anyone has any information about William Warren's son Thomas Warren who was born in 1763 and died in 1851 He was married to Sarah Smalley and they had seven children.I have a massive stoneware crock which is inscribed made for Thomas Letson August 1 1808 and is signed P.K. There isn't any botton to it and there are some pieces missing on one side near the top but the rest of it is intact..amazing piece of stone glazed pottery. I got it from my grandmother when she died.I have had it for about 30 years..anyway if any body has any information about what this man(thomas letson) did for a living I would really appreciate it..my Aunt told me it was a tanner's crock..thanks Debbie Letson Thoms
