I am especially interested in the daughters of (MARY?) JANE LESTER.Unless we can find out who her sister, CAROLINA MUSGROVE married, (MARY?) JANE MUSGROVE LESTER is our best hope of finding out genetically who her mother ARAMINTA might be - whether she was a GORDON or a SMITH - both stong candidates since her youngest son was named SMITH MUSGROVE; but her last name could be something different or whatever. Most genetic testing is via male lines with a paternal gene; but there is also a test for a maternal gene that only mothers will pass on to daughters and their daughter's daughters, etc.Of couse it has to be unbroken. A son or grandson, doesn't have it.
CAROLINA and her sister, MARY MUSGROVE witnessed ARAMINTA MUSGROVE's deed of a horse to her grandson, JOHN (TATE) MUSGROVE, oldest son of WILLIAM T. MUSGROVE; and I suspect that MARY was the same as JANE - thus MARY JANE MUSGROVE who married CHARLES LESTER.The 1790 census shows two daughters in her household, so, I suspect they were the same two daughters.
Of the LESTER daughters, they appear to be MILBREY, SUSAN, ARAMINTA MARIAH LESTER.SUSAN left only three sons so that is a dead end.ARAMINTA MARIAH LESTER married GEORGE BOOZER and had a son and two daughters. They were ELIZA CAROLINE BOOZER who married ANDREW JACKSON RANKIN (I can't find out anything them or on her children); and MARY ELIZABETH BOOZER who married WILLIAM W. YOUNCE (I can't find out anything on them or her family).Does anyone out there have information on these daughters and grandaughters?
