My father is "Gene" Edward Joseph Lesperance-Ontario

Hi there, I'm trying to find relatives of my father, Gene Lesperance. His ID cards are all different, so I'm not sure if Joseph Edward was his given name or Edward Joseph. He's always gone by Gene which confuses me even more! I'm new to geneology, and in fact, my dad is still alive, but he's never really told me much about our family. His mother's name was Eva Martelle (sp?) and he was the last born of a large catholic family. I think he has twin sisters who are still alive, but I don't know anything about them. I'm not really sure why he's so gaurded, but I'm in my 20's now and I'd like to meet the rest of my family! Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much! Oh yeah, He came from Ontario to British Columbia in the 70's and his birthdate is Aug-23-1940. He also has told me that he thinks his grandmother was Metis (not sure how correct this is). I look native-and with a german/irish mom I've always wondered where the heck this came from!!

Thanks again! ~Casey
