Sarah, I believe we are somehow related. My grandfather's name was Roger Lesperance. His father, my great-grandfather, was Theodore Lesperance. Theodore had a brother named Armedios. My dad confirmed for me that their father's name was Eugene, but he also may have had gone by a different name, too. I did find a Eugene Lesperance whose father was also named Eugene born around 1840, which would be about right chronologically. I was able to find a trace to a Jean Lesperance who had moved to Canada from France around 1755. I then traced him in France to a Jean Landier from around the Bordeaux region circa 1630. If this is truely the bloodline, I haven't a concrete answer. Send me an e-mail and I could possibly get you more information.
