Isabel, you are right about Robert K Lermond. I did not have his age at death, but this is what I did have in his notes: An administration was filed by Weltha on his estate 6 August 1839. The widow subsequently remarried Joseph Chambers and died in 1864 when her husband sold the real estate of Weltha Chambers "late of Boothbay" 6 Dec 1864. Martha Lermond posted a bond. I have no idea who Martha Lermond was. In the 1850 census for Bremen are Joseph Chambers, Weltha Chambers and John Chambers aged 5 as well as Elizabeth Lermond (Robert's daughter) aged 16.
Clara was definitely on the right track, but I don't think your Robert and my William were the sons of John born ca 1720 who married Miss Griffin. I think they were grandsons, the sons of his son John and Hannah () who were with William and Robert in Waldoboro. This is also suggested by the Polkey Chart. I have to get back to Wiscasset!
John, I believe the father of William and Robert, died sometime after 29 Feb 1796.
The hunt goes on!
