Hi Sandra.....
Thanks for the nudge....
Well, after going through 1825-1835 looking for Antonio Lepore...I decided to look for Pietro and go backwards...
here is what I came across:
Pietro LePore was born on 29 July, 1873
To: Matteo Lepore fu Francesco, age 40. [fu Francesco
means the son of Francesco and Francesco is dead]
Angela Maria Testa fu Michelangelo, age 40.
Stanislas Matteo Lepore was born on 3May, 1833
To:Francescantonio Lepore, age 32
Rosalia Cappuccillo, age 31
Angela Maria Testa was born on 22 December, 1833
To:Michelangelo Testa, age 32 and a Tailor
Generosa Colantonio, age 30
The brothers and sisters I could find:
Francesco Cristenziano Lepore born 13 May, 1854
To:Stanislas Matteo Lepore di Francesco, age 22,
stone mason
[di Francesco is son of Francesco who is living]
Angela Testa, age 22
He must have died as next child named the same:
Francesco Antonio Lepore born on 28 Feb, 1856
To:Matteo Lepore, age 24
Angela Marie Testa, age 24
He also must have died as next child named the same:
Francesco Antonio Lepore born on 27 Feb. 1860
To:Matteo Lepore di Francescantonio, ae 28
Angela Testa, age 28
He married Maria Teresa Cresecenza Schivaronne on
8 Dec 1887
Antonia Maria Lepore born 7 June 1864
To:Matteo Lepore di Francesco, age 32
Angela Maria Testa, age 32
Maria Nicola Lepore born 2 June 1867
To:Matteo di Francesco, age 35
Angela Maria Testa fu Michaelangelo.
Then comes Peitro.Nothing after that date so far. Will go back in a couple days and see.
Sorry for the delay...lost my entire hard drive and the snow has played havoc with getting to the library on the few hours it is open each week. When the kids home from school, the church library closes so I can't go.Glad you wrote to me because I would have totally forgotten since all my notes on the computer went south!
I found no Antonio at all...there was a Domenic Antonio, a Francescantonio, and a Giuseppantonia...but based upon the wife's first name, had to be Matteo. No last name like Ciotti exists in Ripabottoni at all...so error somewhere.
There were three Matteo Lepores in the same generation, two who had Stanislas in the name as well!!!
Hope this helps. I will try again on Thursday to see if I can get more.
Have a great one,Susan
