Jason, I must say I had goosebumps reading your post. I recently received assistance researching the Ledoux side of my family from a priest in Pennsylvania, and learned that my gggrandmother was Philomene Lepage, daughter of Ludger Lepage. The Ledoux family has been somewhat mysterious to me due to a strange coincidence: Just like in your family, Philomene's son, Gildard Ledoux, abandoned my ggrandmother Germaine Lavoie and my grandmother when she was an infant (in Fall River), an action for which she has never fully forgiven him. As such, "Ledoux" is somewhat taboo in genealogical discussions with my grandmother. Onto more substantial topics, I am curious what convinced you that Ulger and Ludger Lepage are one in the same. If they are, we are not-so-distant cousins on the Lepage side.
