A genealogist who maintains files on families of several counties bordering the Alabama/Georgia state line told me about the pottery industry in Randolph Co., AL. She didn't know about the Leopards, but she knew a lot about other families involved in the pottery industry. We looked at the 1840 Randolph Co. Census, and she told me the Leopards on that Census were living among the potters she knew about. She said that many families of Randolph Co. moved to Rusk Co., TX, including James Prothro.
