ALBERT LEON born in NJ/ residing Philadelphia area 1920??

Hi,
I'm seeking any info on an Albert Merriam Leon, born in NJ around 1888 or so, married a Sarah (Ashbridge?), two years his junior, from PA, eventually moving to Philadelphia.
All the info I can find is that his father was from France and his mother probably from NC. He appears in the Philadelphia 1920 US census. His children included Clarence Leon, Edward Leon, Florence Leon, Harry Leon, as well as one or two others.

I cannot find ANY relevant info through Ellis Island, can someone please tell me if other main ports of entry also have passenger lists on their websites? (Philadelphia, Maryland, NJ, etc?)
I appreciate ANY suggestions or help!
thanks!
Charlene Leon
