I am looking for the German roots of my great-grandfather, Maxmillian E. Lenz. He was born in Germany around 1870 and came over to the U.S. around 1886. He lived in Massachusetts the rest of his life as near as I can tell. He died around 1907. The family story is that he came over to avoid being drafted into the service. He was married to a Mary F. Arnold and had three sons, Walter (my grandfather), Alvin and Maxmillian. Does anyone have any information on this line?
