I am seeking information on Katharina (Katherine) Margaretha Lenz. She was born about 1844 in Baltimore and lived there until she died in 1907.
Katharina married Frederick Stissel in 1866. They had at least five children:
Johann Wilhelm (John William) Stissel
Maria Elizabeth Louise (Lousia) Stissel
Johann Friedrich Wilhelm (William J.) Stissel
Wilhelmina (Minnie or Minna) Stissel
Carl Johann Peter (Charles J. P.) Stissel
In 1870, Katharina and Frederick lived two doors away from John and Mary Lenz in Baltimore.
Katharina received a widow's pension from 1890 - 1907 because her husband, Frederick, fought in the Civil War.
John Lenz signed many of Katharina's pension application papers, but I have been unable to determine the relationship between the two of them.
I am looking for Katharina's parents' and siblings' names. I will appreciate any information on this family. I will be happy to share all of the information that I have collected.
