Many Cabarrus & Rowan Cos., N.C.,folks of German heritage, circa the 1830's and 1840's, removed to Union and Montgomery Cos., Ill. I have Propst and Barringer (Behringer) families of Rowan Co., N.C., who may have Propst, and Barringer (and Cress, et al) kin who may have so removed? I know kinsmen Alexander Monroe 'Sandy' Miller, and Mrs. (Aaron) Caroline Miller Ridenour did. That's dad side. On mother's old Mobile, Alabama, side; I have 1690's Kaskaskia Illini tribe ancestors to old defunct up-river Mobile.
