I don't know if it's your guy, but my ancestors Moses and Phebe (Taylor) Lent apparently had a son named Reuben, b. abt 1791. I base this on affidavits filed in 1847 by Reuben Lent and Reuben Taylor in Cayuga County court, in a pension proceeding. Reuben Lent (age 56 and a resident of Brutus) said he was the child and only surviving heir of Moses and Phebe, and that his parents were married in Stillwater, Saratoga County, NY, on January 14, 1785. Reuben Taylor, an eighty-something year old resident of Victor, said he was Phebe's brother, that Moses and Phebe were married on January 14, 1785 in Stillwater, that Reuben Lent was their only son and surviving heir (presumably meaning "only surviving son and heir", as i believe they had other sons), that Phebe died December 17, 1844, and that Moses died April 28, 1744, both in Savannah, Wayne County, NY. Their daughter Hannah married my gggf John Bacon.
