Pat,
I have reason to believe Churchill Lent COULD be the Nehemia C. Lent found in 1871 Census for Digby County, NS, as son of William Lent.Since there are no Churchill Lents in the 1871 Census, and Nehemia "C" is not listed in 1881 with family, but Churchill suddenly appears (and IN Weymouth), I believe this is part of the reason neither has been successfully "attached" in the past.
IF my suspicions ARE correct, then "Nehemia Churchill Lent" b. 07-Jun-1860, Digby County, NS, son of William Lent and Anna R. UNK (so far).William b. 10-Dec-1830, s/o William Lent and Eleanor Balcom.William (Sr.) b. 16-Sep-1803, Clements, Annapolis Co, NS, s/o Abraham Adolph Lent and Eleanor Spurr (Abraham b. Dec-1757, Tappan, NY)... and so on...
If you agree that this could very well be the correct lineage, I can always provide more information.Given the fact that I've found no other way to connect Nehemia and/or Churchill, I truly believe this is a HIGHLY PROBABLE connection.
