Hi, Cheryl. I believe my ancestor, Lewis Calvin Malone, born about 1819 in Tennessee, was brother to your "James"/Axium Malone. In Lewis Calvin's will deposition, Axium relates that he knew the deceased. My Malones and Harlows lived in Dane County, Wisconsin for a time, and Lewis and Cynthia were married in Illinois. Its my belief they were brothers or maybe first cousins. Since the both had daughters named Lavina/Lavinia (sic), I'm guessing it was their mother's name. John may have been their father's name. I don't know what area of Tennessee they came from, yet. Lewis's wife was Cynthia Harlow from Fluvanna County, Virginia. She was born in about 1820/21. Their children were: Maria/Margaret Catherine Malone-Hannegan, my ancestor; Lavina/Lovina Malone, Clarissa Malone, and Lodica Malone-Hayes. Its funny that James would use that name early on and Axum/Axium or Axiam later. Please respond back here or at my e-mail. You might be my only link to my mother's Malone family.
