I have now reviewed the original will and attachments which provide little additional information. The will made by John Lenoir in Barbados in 1727 was registered in Charleston, SC on 1/23/1728 by Jacob Motte, Registrar. The will provides for the education of his unborn child.Attached are a copy of his wife's appointment as executor and a copy of a 1725 deed by which John Lenoir bought 710 acres on the Wando River at Wando Neck known as Lynch Grove Plantation from Giles Cooke of Barbados. This land adjoined John Hollybush, John Brown, John Burke and William White. The deed was witnessed in Barbados by Joseph Cobb and Robert Lydon.
