Thank you Ivan for the history.

The DNA page has me more confused than ever. It seems to say all the Lennons came from 'Glennon'. Or perhaps it's saying Lennon is the same as Glennon?

"Surnames in Project: Finnegan, Glennan, Glennane, Glennen, Glennon, Glynn, Kenny, Lannin, Lennan, Lennane, Lennon, Leonard, McGlennon, McLennan"

That said, does it make any difference what Lennon means if they lump it in with Glennon? Or would Lennon be a distinghisher, much as we use first names today? In other words, would the Lennon be the big lover of all the Glennons?
