This is what I first knew about your Mary Lennon.
My ex-husband's grandmother wrote in a journal that: John Lennon married
a Mrs. Bradly and had Charles H. and Thomas W. After John died she
married a Buddy Graham and had a bunch of Graham children one of who was
Ellison T. Graham who married Thomas W. Lennon's sister in law Martha
Cornelious. Ellison also had a sister Kitty.
For years this was all I knew.
I have since found out that her first name was Mary, from the census 1850 in Cherokee Co., Alabama. 1850 Census Cherokee Co., Alabama 27th District Page 90A shows: Alex Graham 56 yrs in Agr. $700 Real Estate owned. Mary Graham 44 yrs. b. SC. Thomas Graham 21 yrs b.SC. Ellison Graham 16 yrs. b. NC. Harrison Graham 13 yrs. b. NC. Mary Graham 8 yrs. b. Ala. Sarah Graham 6 yrs. b. Ala. Catharine Graham 4 yrs. b. Ala. Jacob Graham 2 yrs. b. Ala.
Thomas Graham is actually Thomas Wells Lennon.
Just below them on the census is Charles Lennon and his family and Jackson Graham.
Just yesterday I found a message from a lady which mentions Mary Elizabeth Lennon who married Alexander Graham. So I am waiting for an answer about how much she knows. If you know more then this please let me know.
