I am researching an historical weapon which was carried by a Union soldier during the civil war. His weapon was manufactured by LENNING and by style it is my judgment that it was made in the Philadelpia area between1845 and 1860. Does anyone know of a Lenning who was in any way connected to the cutlery business, manufacturing or retail/wholesale, or surgical tool business, or jewelry business?
