Yes, I have corresponded with Frances Summers (by the way, her husband just passed away last month. She lives in Detroit Mich). She first contacted us in early 1999 about her grandfather, Jasper Leonard, because my husband has been the Leonard Family Historian since 1980. She & I have been corresponding ever since. She thought we would have the info that she was looking for. We discovered that I had one Jasper and she had another. The information was different between the two men. We are still looking for slave history of the Leonards.
We want to know the names of the parents of Joseph bn 1822, Manda 1822-5, Ransom 1830 (who was the gggrandfather of my husband), JW 1831-2 (need full name), John 1833-5, A. 1835(need full name), Thomas 1836, Edward 1842, Jack 1846, William 1849.This is what I have. Don't know which were White or Black? Do you have anything additional? Do you know what county they were moved from when they were brought to Coosa County Ala. and when? Anything at all would be appreciated. My husband has been researching his mother's family since 1975 as well as my doing my own family, the Mayes family of S.C. We have been working together until last year when my husband, Henry, felt that there was nothing else to learn. He checked 1880 & 1870 censuses and found Ransom Leonard. So send me what you have. It would be greatly appreciated. Are there any documents of proof available?...//Pat
