I just read your message about your grandmother, Julia. We might be cousins. My father and Eugene are cousins. I believe first cousins. He is now 97 years old and Eugene would call him regularly. His father, my grandfather, was Joseph Lenard and had a tavern in Elizabeth, NJ. If your grandmother was paralyzed, we are related. As I understand the name of Lenart became Lenard when some of those with that name were asked their name and they said "Lenart", I guess to those taking names as they passed through Ellis Island the "t" sounded like a "d" and that was how it changed. My grandfather was born in southern Poland while it was occupied by Austria and had quite a large family. I can fill you in on some details if this seems to be a connection. Also, Eugene was married to Jean and I believe they had 3 boys and maybe you are one of them.
