Hi Barbara, My Lemoyne ancestor is Anne who married Messier. They had a daughter Catherine, who is missing from your list. She married Etienne Gentes in Montreal November 28, 1678. I think the Messiers had 8 daughters and at least one son. I have more on this line if you are interested. I also wonder if anyone has connected the following two French Lemoine couples (my ancestors) to Pierre Lemoine and Judith Duchene of Normandy. Couple one: PAUL HUS dit LEMOINE, born February 16, 1644/45 in MONTIGNY,ROUEN,NORMANDIE,FRANCE; died March 20, 1733/34 in SOREL,RICHELIEU,QUEBEC,CANADA. He was the son of LEONARD HUS dit LEMOINE and MARGUERITE LENFANT. He married JEANNE BAILLARGEON June 16, 1669 in CONTRACT CUSSON,CAP DE MADELEINE,CHAMPLAIN,QUEBEC,CANADA. JEANNE BAILLARGEON, born November 05, 1654 in TROIS-RIVIERES,QUEBEC,CANADA; died August 19, 1733 in SOREL,RICHELIEU,QUEBEC,CANADA. She was the daughter of MATHURIN BAILLARGEON and MARIE METAYER. Couple two: PIERRE-RENE NIQUET, born 1642 in BRIZAMBOURG,ST JEAN D'ANGELY,SAINTONGE,FRANCE; died October 21, 1722 in ST FRANCOIS DU LAC,YAMASKA,QUEBEC,CANADA. He was the son of MICHEL NIQUET and CATHERINE MONTY/MONTIS. He married FRANCOISE LEMOINE June 15, 1666 in CAP-DE-MADELEINE,CHAMPLAIN,QUEBEC,CANADA. FRANCOISE LEMOINE, born 1642 in ST GILLES,PARIS.ILE-DE-FRANCE,FRANCE; died November 10, 1728 in ST FRANCOIS DU LAC,YAMASKA,QUEBEC,CANADA. She was the daughter of ANTOINE LEMOINE and FRANCOISE LONQUERMERLIERE of Paris. I think the Lemoyne/Lemoine names were common in France, but can't be certain. If anyone knows the origin of the name, or if the three French couples were related, please let me know. Chrs Nona
