Yes.
The French names were Anglicanized when they came to the New World. I believe that the name was le Moyne originally, because that is how it was first spelled in Louisiana in the 1700's. I have seen LeMoine, LeMoyne,
le Moine, le Moyne, de le Moyne, and so on.
The best thing to use when looking for a name is the SounDex Code.
