Junior--here's what I have concerning Lemmons/Lamon/Lemons in Morgan Co AL with a Washington Co TN connection.
Joseph Lamon/Lamons/Lemmons was b c 1784 VA to David and Caty (unknown maiden name) Lamon.David and Cathy moved to Washington Co TN from Shenandoah Co VA ca 1787.Joseph Lamon m Elizabeth French 23 Oct 1805 Greene Co TN, and sometime in 1840 Joseph and Elizabeth moved to Morgan Co AL.Joseph is shown on the 1850 Morgan Co AL census with his wife Elizabeth, 69, b VA, and his son William, 35, b TN, and evidently William's children: Nathan, 13, b AL; Margaret E., 10, b AL; Martha A., 9, b AL; James W.L., 7, b AL; William B., 5, b AL; and Sarah C., 2, b AL.
I later found William Lamon on the 1870 Morgan Co AL census with his children: Margaret, 28, b AL; Wm. B., 25, b AL; John, 18, b AL; Celia J., 15, b AL; Mary E., 13 b AL; Joseph, 11, b AL; Henry, 9, b AL; Geo., 6, b AL.
Is this the family you're asking about?I see no Flora, but William sure could have had a daughter older than John, and she could be married and away from home--there is a lot of space between the child Wm. B. at 25, and John at 18.
I have been seeking a descendant of this family for a long time.Hope this info connects with your search.
:-) Kelle
