Thanks Kelle,
Your very detailed information about the James Lemmon who died at Brandywine should help us determine the difference in the documents about the James Lemmon buried here in Texas. We have over 50 Patriots of the American Revolution that are believed to have been buried in Texas, but it is difficult to make sure that the Patriot is the man who was buried in Texas. In a number of cases the person buried here in Texas has turned out to be a son by the same name, or another relative by the same name.We have one case where the Governors of three different states came to a grave marking ceremony in 1946 to honor their Patriot ancestor. This man would have been over 110 years old in 1946, which was the first "detail" that made us wonder if we have the correct person. It turned out to be his son, as I recall.
Thanks again for your help!
