You've just told me more than I ever knew about Thomas Lemon. All I had was his name and this reference to his will being probated.
I'll gladly share what I have on the other Lemon/Lemmon lines, but there isn't anywhere near enough room here. I'll have to do it privately. Thanks for including your email address so that I can do that.
Thomas, William, James, John, & Robert were indeed some of the sons of James & Patsy McCune Lemon. I have a transcript of Robert's niece's Bible where she names her parents and grandparents. I wish she had named all of her uncles and aunts, too! There were supposedly nine children, only one of whom was a girl. Her name has not been verified yet. I haven't worked on proving the other brothers yet, either, but they may have been George, Samuel, & Archibald. This is a big, big family, and of course, they all named their sons the same thing - so figuring out who is the son of whom is a real headache. I have been working on Robert's line for about 15 years now, and only in the last few years have I added James, John, & William. I did virtually no genealogy in 2007 as my husband battled cancer, but am getting back to it now, so I've been working on William's line lately. In doing this work, I've found a reference to James & Patsy coming to the American colonies in 1762. I always thought it was earlier, but that was just my hunch; I had no proof. There was no proof to this reference, either, but it gives us something to look at.
